How to claim credits

AI Safety 101 is not yet a pre-approved provider with the bodies below - but most of them let you self-report training exactly like this. Every certificate carries a unique ID anyone can verify, and this page has the documentation they ask for.

How to self-report, by certifying body

SHRM (SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP)

  1. Log in to your SHRM certification portal.
  2. Click Add PDCs and indicate you do not have an activity code.
  3. Choose the Advance Your Education category and enter the activity details (title: AI Safety 101, provider: AI Safety 101, completion date, hours).
  4. The activity must fall inside your three-year recertification cycle. One PDC per instructional hour is the usual conversion; SHRM makes the final call.

HRCI (aPHR / PHR / SPHR / GPHR)

  1. Pre-approved courses carry an Activity ID; AI Safety 101 is not pre-approved yet, so record it as a self-reported activity in your HRCI account.
  2. HRCI's own test: can you connect the activity to a responsibility or knowledge statement in the Exam Content Outline for your certification, and does it add to the knowledge of the HR profession. Modules 04 (The Bias) and 12 (The Incident) map directly onto HR responsibilities.
  3. Remember the one ethics credit required per three-year cycle (in force since January 2021).

ISC2 (CISSP, CC, and others)

  1. Log in to your ISC2 member account and submit CPE activities in the CPE portal.
  2. Group A covers activities directly related to your credential's domains; Group B covers general professional development. Security-focused modules (01, 05, 06, 07, 08) typically fit Group A for security credentials.
  3. Keep your certificate (with CERT ID) as proof of completion in case of audit.

  4. Save & Close - repeat per certification you hold.

IAPP (CIPP / CIPM / CIPT / AIGP)

  2. Log in to your IAPP account and submit the activity with title, provider, date, and hours; CPE Central is the reference for how credits are categorized.
  3. Modules 04 (bias), 09 (records), and 11 (disclosure) map directly to privacy domains; the full course is on-domain for AIGP.

The honest fine print

Each certifying body makes the final decision on what it accepts, and requirements change. This page is documentation to make self-reporting easy - it is not a guarantee of credit. Formal provider applications are on our roadmap; when a body pre-approves AI Safety 101, this page will say so, by name. Nothing else on this site should be read as an accreditation claim.
